Are 0870 and 0844 numbers part of your free minutes?
With some mobile tariffs, UK National (0870) calls are included in the numbers you can call as part of your free minutes. Make sure you check rates with your mobile service provider before making your call.

To find out the cost of calling from a UK mobile, or a non BT landline, you should confirm the rates directly with your service provider as these may vary. Some service providers and their helpline numbers:

Program your mobile and always make a saving
For numbers you call often, there's a way you can make savings every time you call. Simply program the access number together with the destination number into your mobile.

How to program your handset
Let's say you want to call your mum in Australia. Then:

Create a new entry called 'Mum' in your handset's phone book
Enter the just-dial access number - e.g. 0870 794 8178

Enter a 'pause' by doing the following, depending on the handset you own:

Nokia handsets	Siemens / Panasonic handsets	Motorola / Sony Ericsson handsets
A 'p' should appear after you press * three times	A '+' should appear after you press and hold 0	A 'p' should appear after you press and hold *

Now enter the international number in full including the 00 prefix
Press 'save' and this number will be saved to your phone book

So go on - just-dial!
